Muyus is born from the encounter between ancestral weaving and contemporary cinema. Just as the threads of a loom intertwine to create fabrics, we intertwine images, sounds and memories to create narratives that honor indigenous and traditional traditions.

Our name comes from the Quechua muyu — circle, seed, cycle, return of life. The suffix s transforms the singular into collective: from one seed, many. From one story, an archive.

We believe that audiovisual is a tool of permanence. Every film we make is an act of resistance — a way to ensure that knowledge, languages and territories remain alive for future generations.

Research

We dive into the historical, cultural and territorial context of each project. We study languages, rites and traditions before turning on any camera.

Listening

The narrative is born from deep listening to communities. We don't impose views — we welcome voices and let them guide the film.

Immersion

We live the territory, share daily life and build relationships of trust. Cinema only happens when there is a true bond.

Production

With small teams sensitive to context, we make films that respect the community's times — not the market's.

Sharing

The film doesn't end in the editing room. We take the work back to the territory, to festivals, to schools — ensuring the image circulates and strengthens.
